Assigning roles and permissions
Available roles
Bitnob offers several predefined roles:
- Owner: Full access to all features and settings
- Admin: Can manage team, transactions, and settings
- Manager: Can initiate and approve transactions
- Accountant: View-only access to all transactions and reports
- Member: Limited access to specific features
- Custom: Create your own role with specific permissions
How to assign or change roles
To manage team member roles:
- Go to Team or Settings > Team Members
- Find the team member
- Click "Edit" or the menu icon next to their name
- Select a new role from the dropdown
- Adjust specific permissions if needed
- Click "Save Changes"
Role changes take effect immediately.
Understanding permissions
Permissions control access to specific features:
- View transactions: See transaction history
- Initiate payments: Create new payments
- Approve payments: Approve pending transactions
- Manage cards: Create and manage virtual cards
- View reports: Access financial reports
- Manage team: Add or remove team members
- Change settings: Modify account settings
Use the principle of least privilege: only grant permissions that are necessary for each role.
